LOS ANGELES, – in the heart of Hollywood’s dynamic nightlife scene, Jeffery Chodorow and Melissa Richardson take the stage with the opening of the stunning Social Hollywood.

The Social is a multifaceted venue with restaurant, lounge, club and event complex located in the historical landmark, known for the past 83 years as the Hollywood Athletic Club.

Embracing the glamour of the past while making a fresh new setting for Hollywood’s finest – the Social Hollywood was designed by Mark Zeff of Zeff Design and renovated by Steve Brackett of Brackett Construction.

The building is an art deco landmark, originally built by the same architects who created Grauman’s Chinese and

the Egyptian Theatres. In its early years a celebrity lounge for stars such as Charlie Chaplin, Rudolph Valentino, Errol Flynn and Clark Gable, the building is rife with lore from the glorious golden days of Hollywood’s history. This is where, it has been said, Jean Harlow arrived clad only in a fur coat and Dick Powell brought the corpse of John Barrymore for “one last drink.”

With his design, Mark Zeff pays respect to the building’s timeless history; blending old with the new to create a work of art that is alive with American audacity and international style. Each room indulges in its own theme and character, aesthetic and charm – yet it all fits together as one whole gracious message of complete grandeur and delicious glamour.
